Boiler core recovered from Soviet submarine Komsomolets (K-278) on the floor of the Barents Sea.

XenoDream -> RapidForm -> Okino Polytrans -> Genetica -> Maxwell Studio -> Maxwell Render -> Photoshop -> your computer screen.

Changed Fullview Size to 1600 pixels wide. You have to see it. The original is 4K wide, which you can see if you buy the print (:-).

LS07: Komsomolets Boiler Core by ~JJLudemann is a beautiful render of fascinating object, which has a curious mixture of the organic and the technological. ( Suggested by `AlanRalph and Featured by `joannastar )

Impressive work! Maybe you know, why is the core shape so complicated?

do you have photos of the original boiler core? It'd be interesting to see the differences between the two :3

Amazing work. It looks like something I'd see either in a natural history museum... or a movie about the future. AT THE SAME TIME.
